After much prayer; listening to local, state, and national governments; talking to medical experts; and hearing from you; we are excited to announce Phase 1 of a cautious and planned return to our Sunday morning worship gatherings.
  • Phase 1 begins Sunday May 24th and May 31st with outdoor (weather permitting) worship gatherings (We will continue online only for WOW-Worship on Wednesdays).
  • Everyone who feels comfortable are welcome and encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, sunglasses, umbrellas, etc. and attend an in-person worship at 10:45 on our soccer field.
  • We will continue to physical distance ourselves as we gather. No handshakes / hugs (Family units do not need to distance themselves).
  • Masks are optional (We will not be handing out masks).
  • There will be NO nursery / Children’s ministry provided as we begin Phase 1 (Online children’s lessons and Zoom meetings will continue.) Children are invited to join their parents at the live worship gathering.
  • Restrooms will be available in case of emergencies.
  • We will have an offering box centrally located for those who would like to give their offering in person, but you may also continue to give online or mail your offering to the church.
  • Online streaming will continue as we move forward.
  • We will also continue our online connections (Devotions, small groups) during Phase 1.
  • Thanks for your concern, understanding, and continued prayers as we navigate these unprecedented and exciting days!

The Importance of Giving

The history of giving at Rehoboth in difficult times is amazing. I’m inspired by the faithfulness of this Body of Christ to the mission of the Church! Your giving during this unprecedented time has been so encouraging to our staff and leadership teams! It reminds us we a great church, made up of great people!

As a church body, your giving is extremely important, and we ask that you continue to give faithfully during these times. All of your giving during this unprecedented time will strengthen our church to minister to the people of our own community and beyond. Even as we go through the global pandemic of COVID-19, we know that eternity is at stake and the Gospel of Jesus is our only hope.

Ways to Give:

  • ONLINE – You can give your tithes and additional financial contributions online by clicking here.
  • IN PERSON – If you prefer to bring your tithes/offerings to the church, you can do so by coming to the office entrance located nearest to our soccer fields. When you arrive press the doorbell and a member of our staff will come and assist you.
  • TEXT-TO-GIVE – Text the word GIVE to 912-207-7887 and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • MAIL – You can also mail your financial gift to 2331 Campground Road, Claxton GA 30417.

Please know; our staff will continue to lead the way and take every possible opportunity to meet the needs of our community.

Remember, you can always see the most important information by visiting our website at rehobothbaptist.net

Thank you for being so flexible and supportive during this unprecedented time. Our faith is in God. We know He will provide for us every step of the way. He is faithful, dependable, and reliable.

Grace and Peace, Pastor Gary (PG)

Dear Rehoboth Family:

As always and especially in moments like this the Word of God anchors and guides us. The words of Philippians 4:4-7 have been ministering to me:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Tuesday night March 17 the Deacons and I met to pray and discuss the latest news in regards to the coronavirus. At RBC our desire is always to be: the people of God, on the mission of God, for the glory of God. How we do so in this moment, however, requires much wisdom and grace. After much prayer and deliberation we feel it’s best to follow the recommendation to keep gatherings to 10 or less; so we are suspending all gatherings at the Church building.

Here is our plan:

* Sunday Worship: We will not host in-person Sunday morning / evening worship gatherings through April 8th. We will live stream our worship / preaching at 10:45AM on our Facebook page. Please plan to worship online this Sunday and invite others to join us, as well. Each week we sing together, pray together, and hear what God’s Word says about freedom from fear, peace over anxiety, joy amidst sickness, and life that conquers death. In addition, we will share important information about needs / opportunities for us as the body of Christ. Needless to say, you don’t want to miss these Sunday gatherings online!

* Wednesday Night: We will not host Wednesday evening activities on March 18 or 25.

* All Other Events/Activities: All other church activities/events planned at the church through March 31 are postponed.

As I’ve mentioned in the past; this does not shake our confidence that God is good and that He is with us. So I want to encourage you to trust Him at this time. I also want to encourage you in several other ways:

First, I want to encourage you to worship with us online. While we cannot gather in our typical, large gatherings, if you feel comfortable doing so, you could gather with family, friends, and neighbors to worship together. In that way we will join with believers all over the world, and throughout history, who have gathered with friends and family in homes to worship together. We are going to provide a worship service online. In God’s goodness and foresight, although we planned this sermon series months ago, we are amazingly going to study how God desires for us to live in such times. I think it can be a real word of encouragement for you at this time.

Second, I want to encourage you to give. There is both a theological and practical reason for this. Theologically, as we say every Sunday, giving is an act of worship. And it’s one we can engage in whether or not we are physically present at the church. Practically, the ministries of the church are made possible through your giving. Our ability to pay the bills that the church incurs, including utilities, ministry funds and the salaries of our staff will be dependent on your faithful giving. You can give either by mail (RBC 2331 Campground Road Claxton GA 30417) or drop off at the church office during normal office hours.

Third, I want to encourage you to join me, our Staff and Deacons to pray and fast over the next 2 weeks. We are going to fast and pray and plead with God, as the Great Physician, to glorify himself in this moment.

Finally, be looking for opportunities to be salt and light during this time. Be looking for opportunities to help those hurting. Our offices will still be open, and we will be available to help care for and serve you. Please don’t hesitate to ask. If you’d like to volunteer to help, or if you need help, please email office@rehobothbaptist.net.

Church, I love you. These are certainly uncertain and frightening times, but I am confident of the love and goodness of God. That confidence is not shaken. Let us commit to pray together that those who are far from God might become committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Grace and Peace PG
